DAV School students of the State capital are gearing up to express their bestowed talent in Mahatma Hansraj Aryan Tournament (MHAT) a regional level tournament.

DAV Schools organises MHAT, regional level co-curricular activities programme every year in the month of September. In it students of all DAV wing showcase their talents. Under this programme array of competitions like Quiz, singing and dancing, allocation, athletic and sports, yoga, and poem recitation are conducted. This month-long programme is like a festival for the schools. The competition rage circulates within the principals too.

Every school wants their student to come up with flying colors and for this reason the school administration is leaving no stone unturned prior preparations are already started in the schools. Teachers are providing the students their round-the- clock help and are keenly monitoring their practices. The principal of DAV Gandhinagar has provided extra hours beyond classroom studies for the students involved in NHRT activities.

Principal of DAV Gandhinagar ,SK Sinha said, “Our school basic goal is to make our students excellent in all the areas. NHRT programme provides the student a bigger platform to explore themselves as students from different region of the state participate in it. To compete with more than 100 children is the biggest challenge. last year our school was in second position. This time I have told my teachers to train the students in such a way that they host our school flag on top.”

Principal of DAV Bariatu, Divya Singh said, “MHAT not only provide the student an opportunity to showcase their talent at regional level but also at national and international level. In the year 2011, Ashmita Choudhary after winning the trophy of best singer in MHAT activity she was given an opportunity to showcase her talent at national level.”

She further added, “This type of programme really helps the student is growing their skills. Students learn a lot when they participate in this programme. Moreover the biggest profit is that the stage fear totally vanishes from the students mind. Even adolescent kids speak infornt of the crowd without hesitation.”
