NGOs working for child right laws implementation in the state feel that the role of media is important in ensuring public awareness on this issue. The information was delivered by NGO members from Plan India, CINI, IDFand Chetna Vikas at a workshop on Thursday.
According to other members present in this workshop, there are no guidelines for child protection in Jharkhand. “Unicef, Save the Children and Plan India are working in different districts of Jharkhand to set up village level child protection committees by 2015,” Anup who is associated with Plan India maintained.
