Indian Medical Association (IMA) Secretary General Dr Narendra Saini has urged for Medical Protection Act implementation in Jharkhand. He was speaking on the need of the law during the State Installation Ceremony of IMA at Ranchi on Sunday.

“If Medical Protection Bill is launched in Jharkhand, medical staffs and patients will benefit more than the doctors,” said Dr Narendra Saini.

Also present on the occasion was Jharkhand State IMA Joint Secretary Dr BP Kashyap who said, “Chief Minister Hemant Soren and Health Minister Rajendra Prasad were supposed to attend our event but they did not come. It might be because of some important engagements.”

IMA’s functionaries from across the State along with Joint Secretaries of Deoghar and South Chotanagpur were also present on the occasion besides senior members like President Dr AK Singh.
