“The meeting was fruitful as we discussed about the developmental work in health and education. We have been receiving complaints in the health system in the district, some of which have been recruitment and appointment of doctors and also ambulance services,” Yadav said. She said that the Kasturba Gandhi Awasiya Vidyalaya, a residential school in each block will have 150 seats from this session of 2015-16 and science and commerce will also be introduced this year.

Yadav said that there were girls who wanted to study science but the limitation in the school did not give them option. Students of Kasturba Gandhi Awasiya Vidyalaya will now be able to pursue courses as per their choice. “We are working hard to improve the education scenario. The initiative to start five model schools in each district has already started. Depending upon the population, each district will have a primary or a middle school, which will have all the facilities,” she said.
