State Associations and Federations will now have to approach Indian Olympic Association (IOA) ‘Ethics Committee’ in case of any conflict. Earlier, these associations directly went to Court to sort out such disputes.
The information was disclosed by IOA Secretary General Rajeev Mehta during a felicitation ceremony by Jharkhand Olympic Association (JOA) at the state capital on Sunday. Apart from this, Mehta revealed a good hosting opportunity for Ranchi similar to 2nd Junior South Asian Athletics Championships held in November last year. “We have decided to conduct the upcoming Senior South Asian Athletics Championships at Ranchi’s Mega Sports Complex,” he said.
He added, ‘The ‘Ethics Committee’ is yet to be formed. We are looking forward for its formation at the earliest.”
