They were felicitated for arresting Naveen Manjhi, a hardcore Naxal, on which Government had announced cash prize. SP informed that after being nabbed Naveen disclosed many secrets of his organisation and also described the complete working style of Naxal groups these days. A week before the district police administration received the award money of Rs 10 lakhs from the State Government. On Tuesday that amount of reward was distributed among all the 49 members of that special team.

The then officer in-charge of Vishnugarh police station Ramdayal Munda and Sub-inspector Mahendra Das received Rs 25,000 each as reward.
