A six month old girl was kidnapped and then murdered in Palamu ! The shocking incident enraged the residents of Basdiha village under Pandu police station to shout anti-police slogans on Friday. The enraged residents were demanding arrest of the main accused of this heinous crime. The DSP H l Ravi has confirmed the murder of the 6 month old girl and said police have made one arrest and seized the bike used in this crime.
Giving details the DSP Ravi said the 6 month girl was lifted in her sleep from her house on the night of June 10. Her mother was attending a marriage function in the neighbourhood of Basdiha village. On June 11 the residents and the family of the girl found a bike and a man identified as NItesh lying unconscious. The residents called in the police and the man was arrested while the bike was seized.
On June 11 the body of the girl was found two kilometers away from Basdiha village. The dogs were almost ready to tear apart this innocent when some women saw the dead baby and cried and shouted for help. The body ws then taken in possession by the police who later gave it to the father of the baby Bansi Paswan.
Police are on the pursuit of one Dharmender Paswan a co villager who had so lifted the 6 month girl in her sleep from bed and had run away with NItesh on his bike had the bike met with an accident in which nitesh fell unconscious and Dharmender leaving behind him walked two Kms down and reached Salahna village where in a field he threw down the dead girl in a field. Police have not found. any motive behind this gruesome inhuman act of crime.
The deceased’s grand father Nand Keshwar Paswan has lodged the FIR and has named Dharmender and Nitesh as accused of this kidnapping and murder said the police. Dharmender is at large. The girl must of died of thirst, exhaustion and a probable rough dumping or throw in the field by his captor opined the police.
