PNS

Inspired by the spirit of “donating blood for the needy”, Siemens Energy organized a blood donation camp on 24 September in association with Bokaro General Hospital under Corporate Social Responsibility. Chief General Manager (DNW) Neeraj Bhatia, General Manager (DNW) Suman Anand, Siemens Energy Safety Officer Aachman Sharma and other employees of Siemens Energy were present in this camp organized under the guidance of Dr. Shravan Kumar, ACMO, Bokaro General Hospital.

On this occasion, Dr. Shravan Kumar said that donating blood does not have any adverse effect on the body. Blood transfusion is required every two seconds in India and 50 million units of blood are required per year. He said that people should come forward to donate blood in a big way. As per the recommendations of the National Blood Transfusion Council (NBTC), any healthy person in the age group of 18-60, whose weight is up to or more than 50 kg, can donate blood. The donor should not have any infectious disease. Bokaro Steel Plant officials appreciated this public welfare work of Siemens Energy and appealed that such works should continue to serve humanity. 25 units of blood were collected in the camp.
