With an eye on 2014 lok Sabha elections, Congress general secretary and State in-charge B K Hariprasad gave 'success mantra' to the party workers at the Kolhan division workers' meet organised at Chaibasa on Saturday.

Addressing the meeting at SPG Mission Vidhyalaya ground on Saturday, Hariprasad said the party workers need to prepare for the 2014 lok Sabha elections. Jharkhand is an important state for the party and it would contest those seats where its victory was ensured. Without hinting anything on the possible alliance with JMM, he said the party would field candidates who could ensure win for the party.

"Youths are the future of the country and we need to include them. Our party too gives equal importance to the promotion of youth. But for the young leaders it is important to be disciplined. The future of the party depends on them so they must unite to spread the Congress party's message to fulfill the vision," noted Hariprasad.

He said that as Congress workers, youngsters should be competent, upright and should have commitment and compassion to serve the people and the country. They should wage a battle to raise the living standards of the people. The general secretary appealed to the workers to educate voters about the achievements of UPA Government at the Centre. "UPA has launched several welfare schemes in the country and people are reaping benefits. We need to educate the voters about the initiatives taken by our government."

Hariprasad, who is also State party in charge, further said that Congress members must shun infighting if they wanted to ensure progress of the State and the party in Jharkhand. He said that infighting must be shed to ensure electoral win in the State. Sukhdeo Bhagat, State president of Congress said the meeting focused on ways to mobilise the voters in party's favour. He said that the idea is to associate with the workers and spread the party's vision in the State. He said the party would organise another divisional meet at Ranchi in November.

He said it was a final call and infighting had to end to achieve the goal. "It is important to work with utmost commitment to live up to the expectations of the people of Jharkhand." Party's ministers Rajendra Prasad Singh, Geetashree Oraon, Yogendra Sao, Mannan Mallik, Chandrashekhar Dubey, Party's MP from Ranchi Subodhkant Sahay, Jamshedpur West MlA Banna Gupta, Rajya Sabha member Pradeep Balmuchu were present on the occasion.
