DC Sunil Kumar has issued show cause notices to the Block Development Officers of Barhi, Chouparan, Dadi and Katkamsandi for their poor performance in MNREGA schemes.
DC has also ordered to issue show cause notice to the executive engineer of PHED and district coordinator of Nirmal Bharat Abhiyan due to delay in completion of
projects. DC Sunil Kumar was reviewing the works of MNREGA, Nirmal Bharat Abhiyan, NlRM etc. in his meeting hall. During review he found that labor budget entry and MB entry has not been completed in the blocks where the work progress is very poor.
He ordered the officials to complete the entries within a week. In this meeting he strictly ordered the BDOs to remain in their headquarters and said that he will himself make surprise visits to check it.
DDC Ravindra Prasad Singh informed that in the fiscal year 2014-15 3549 schemes are going on in the districts. DC ordered the officials to submit the detailed reports of the present status of these schemes under Nirmal Bharat Abhiyan it was found that out of sanctioned 4489 schemes work is going on in only 1277 schemes in which 214 has been completed.
Taking these figures seriously DC ordered to issue show cause notices to the EE and district coordinator and directed the BDOs to arrange the meeting with the concerned authorities to remove the hurdles in completion and start of the schemes.
Under NRlM it was found that only 12 applications have been forwarded to the banks against the target of 568. So far 130 applications have come for benefit of this scheme. DC instructed the officials to speed up the work so that the target could be achieved within a fortnight.
