Member of Parliament (MP) from Ranchi Sanjay Seth on Thursday met the Union Minister for Coal and Parliamentary Affairs Prahlad Joshi in New Delhi. During the meeting, the MP expressed his gratitude to the Union Ministry for giving approval for construction of a road from Shishu Mandir Vidyalaya at Rai in Khalari to Dakra Chowk. At the same time, the MP also urged the Union Minister to restart the operations of the closed Kendriya Vidyalaya in Khalari. The MP informed the minister that Khalari, Rai and Dakra are cal mines areas as a large number of people are engaged with this profession. As the area is home to people from across the state the area should have better education facilities for students. There is no good school in the area for the education of children. From this point of view, the operation of this Kendriya Vidyalaya is very necessary.
At the same time the MP gave several suggestions to the Union Minister so that the standard of living of the citizens of coal mining areas would improve. The MP also apprised the Union Minister about the issues related to DMFT and the work being done on it. Told them that the DMFT amount should be spent for the welfare of the people of that area, and directions should be given to the administration in this direction. Apart from this, the MP gave several suggestions to the Union Minister for the improvement of the standard of living of the citizens of Khalari and surrounding areas, for the proper development of that area. Mr. Seth told the Union Minister that we all should work in this direction so that environmental protection can also be done in coal mining areas, on which the Union Minister said to take positive initiative.
