State BJP president cum party’s Rajya Sabha MP Deepak Prakash on Friday presented the annual report of Sanjay Seth, the BJP MP from Ranchi. He highlighted the major schemes initiated by MP in his one year tenure in a press conference here on Friday.
Prakash claimed the Seth in his one year tenure has not only carried various developmental schemes but has tried to connect with masses solving their problems.
The BJP president said that Seth’s commitment in addressing people’s woes can be gauged from the fact that during corona pandemic too he has come forward in addressing people’s grievances.
"Be it distributing medical kits, tricycle, wheel chair or other essential items for needy people during corona pandemic, Seth is always ready to help the people," said Prakash. Also the parliamentarian has released fund from his MPLAD fund for construction of road, culverts, drainage system, building, laying the foundation stone for power grid substation and others.
Seth, through his MPLAD fund has also laid the foundation stone of garment industrial unit, construction of puja mandaps, construction of check dams, bridges and other developmental works.
Prakash, Seth and Ranchi MLA and former minister CP Singh, former MLA from Khijri Ram Kumar Pahan, former Icchagarh MLA Sadhu Charan Mahto and other leaders were talking to media persons at the State BJP office. The BJP leaders on the occasion also released a book on the development works of Seth in one year. In May last year, Seth a senior BJP leader and then the president of Jharkhand Khadi Board chairman won the prestigious Ranchi seat by massive 2.83 lakh votes.
He defeated his nearest rival, former union minister and senior Congressman Subodh Kant Sahay by margin of 2.83 lakh votes.
Seth was initially considered as a newcomer and the face which was not recognised beyond Ranchi seat, but the BJP candidate managed to get votes from all assembly constituencies.
Moreover, the victory of Seth gained importance as he was challenged from then sitting MP Ramtahal Choudhary after he was denied ticket by BJP on age ground.
