Second accused in extortion demand case, in which channel head Arup Chatterjee was arrested earlier, was arrested today from Barakar with help of West Bengal police.
Permehwar alias Manager Rai was brought to Dhanbad from Barakar and was kept at Govindpur police station till late afternoon .
Rai, also a coal businessman has been arrested in the same extortion demand case in which Arup was arrested after an arrest warrant was issued by Dhanbad court on a complaint filed by coal merchant Rakesh Ojha.
Meanwhile, CBI has issued notice to Arup for appearing before it in connection with a chit fund fraud case.
Atul had been evading CBI notice in this regard sent by the investigating agency earlier. He was CMC of two such companies that are under the scanner of CBI.
