SDO Anjali Yadav on Sunday conducted a meeting regarding the preparations of the upcoming festival ‘Rath Yatra’ with the office-bearers of the Jagannath temple including the senior officials of different departments. Issuing instructions to the officials, the SDO assured the samiti members that basic arrangements like re-carpeting the roads leading towards the temple will be done a while ago for smooth vehicular movement.
The ward councilor during the meeting informed the SDO that the electrification work behind the temple has been pending. The engineer has been asked to look into the matter. Meanwhile, the officials of Ranchi Municipal Corporation (RMC) have been asked to deploy extra sanitation workers for cleaning temple premises. The Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation has been ordered to ensure the arrangement of supply water from July 10 onwards.
This year, lED van will be used for live telecast of all major activities being carried out inside the temple premises. State disaster management team too has been involved in the mega event. From July 11 onwards, the control room will be made functional. From security perspective, the samiti members have asked to install additional CCTV cameras. Soon the district administration will release toll-free numbers for the visitors’ convenience.
