The sales tax officials of Hazaribagh made a surprise visit to Chordaha checkpost situated at the border of Jharkhand and Bihar. On Saturday night, Joint Commissioner Bipin Bihari Gupta and Deputy Commissioner Ramsevak Rana visited the checkpost and found irregularities. They immediately ordered suspension of five computer operators and four jawans of homeguard posted there.
The Sources of the Sales tax officials at the Chouparan source informed that at Chordaha checkpost, 6 officers, 21 computer operators and 40 jawans of homeguard have been posted. The State has made the checkpost to control the revenue theft but here illegal activities were going on since the starting period. On Saturday night both the officials were caught with five computer operators and four homeguard jawans red handedly releasing the vehicles after taking bribe.
