In a significant development Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) has become the first Maharatna public sector unit to implement the Anti-Bribery Management System (ABMS) across all its plants and units. ABMS is a management system designed in accordance with ISO 37001:2016 to help an organization prevent, detect and respond to bribery incidents .
On Wednesday , Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certified SAIL for IS/ISO in the presence of SAIL Chairman Amarendu Prakash, SAIL CVO SN Gupta, Dr. RK Tyagi, DDGC, BIS, Ashish Tripathi, CVO, BIS and other senior officials of SAIL. Provided with ABMS Certificate as per 37001:2016 standards.
Notably speaking on the occasion, SAIL Chairman said, “This certification is a testament to SAIL's commitment in promoting transparency and enhancing the confidence of all stakeholders in working with SAIL”
