The Safety Awareness Week started in the Traffic Department of Bokaro Steel Plant was inaugurated by the Executive Director (Works) Atanu Bhowmik by lighting the lamp. Chief General Manager (Services) Sanjay Kumar, Chief General Manager (Traffic) AK Jha, General Manager-in-Charge (Safety and Fire Services) A Rautela along with other senior officers and personnel of Traffic Department and Security Engineering Department were present on the occasion. Addressing the participants, (ED) Atanu Bhowmik called for avoiding shot-cuts during the work on the shop floor and following the SOP and SMP 100% and performing the work safely. (GM) A Rautela gave a message to the participants to always be aware of safety.
The Security Awareness Week program will be organized till August 24. During this, the personnel will be given information about gas safety, safety during work in loco and brinjal shed, safety in permanent path, safety in operation and operation of loco, yoga and stress management. Apart from this, speech, essay, poster, slogan and poetry competition related to security will also be organized. The program was conducted by Assistant General Manager (Traffic) Sandeep Kumar and General Manager (Traffic) Rajesh Kumar gave vote of thanks.
