Safety Awareness Week was organised at the Blast Furnace Department of Bokaro Steel Plant. The programme was inaugurated by Atanu Bhowmick, Executive Director (Works) by lighting lamp. CGM (Security & Fire Fighting Services) Amarendra Jha, CGM (Blast Furnace) MP Singh along with other senior officers and personnel of Blast Furnace Department were present.
In the beginning of the programme, CGM (Blast Furnace) MP Singh welcomed the guests and participants. CGM (Safety & Fire Services) Amarendra Jha enlightened the participants on various aspects of safety during operation inside the plant premises, especially in the blast furnace. Addressing the participants, ED (Works) Bhowmik gave message to have complete safety oriented while having target on production. The Safety Awareness Week programme will continue till August 28. During this workers will be given information about common diseases, ergonomic problems, zero accident, gas safety, road safety, fire hazards, electrical safety, statutory liability and factory act including yoga in blast furnace by various speakers.
The programme was conducted by the General Manager (Blast Furnace) and Departmental Safety Officer Subhojit Rai and the vote of thanks given by the General Manager (Blast Furnace) Mahendra Prasad.
