The excise department of Hazaribagh District has collected revenue of more than Rs1.11 crore from the auction of liquor shops. The auction process took place at the meeting hall of Deputy Commissioner. Sixtysix shops included in 22 groups were allotted to the applicants who had already applied to participate in the process. Excise department had collected Rs4.02 crores as application fee earlier in this process.
