Giving a boost to the healthcare in remote areas, Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Friday said that medicos, who are willing to start a hospital in rural pockets after completing their studies, will be given a special grant of Rs 50 lakh and other assistance from the State Government.

Addressing a function held on the occasion of the 14th Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) Foundation Day, Das said, “This is a major initiative to stop brain drain from the State. We are trying to build a state, where students after completing their courses will get the job in their respective field here in the State.”

Taking stringent step to regularise the education system and to maintain transparency, Das said, “Teachers, officials should start taking the work seriously. All teachers working in Government schools must put their Aadhaar card photographs on campus premises within one month. Education being the top priority of the State Government, laid back attitude of the teachers and the officials will not be tolerated.”

“This will help the school students recognise their respective subject teachers and will also ensure transparency in the system,” he added.

Das added, “DSEs and DEOs will face the music if the work is not complete in a stipulated time. The State Government will take all mandatory steps to provide quality education to the unprivileged kids, especially those residing in interior belts.” laying emphasis on skill development project, Das said, “By giving the project of making school bench and desk under the skill development scheme to the local carpenters formed under School Management Committee (SMC), the State Government has saved Rs 400 crore. By the end of November 2016, every government school across the State will have bench and desk facility.”

Speaking about ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’, the CM appealed to the people present there to send their daughters to school and make them self dependent, as this is the need of an hour.

School Education and literacy Minister Neera Yadav, Secretary Aradhana Patnaik, Director, Secondary education, Manish Ranjan, JAC Chairperson, Arvind Prasad Singh were also present on the occasion.

Neera Yadav emphasized on creating awareness among people to send their kids to nearby schools. Patnaik said that the government was taking all mandatory measures to curb the dropout rates.
