The Ranchi Municipal Corporation (RMC) on Saturday sanctioned Rs. 2,395.70 crore in order to provide major civic facilities during the current financial year (2019-20). The amended budget was tabled during the RMC council meet received the consent of the ward councillors. Besides the regular projects, the municipal corporation this year has included several new ventures. Projects like rainwater harvesting in 208 slums, foot -over bridges, subways, establishment of marketing complex for the differently-abled have been included in the budget. In fiscal year 2018-19, the civic body had sanctioned Rs.1,947 crore.
