Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Wednesday said that roots of democracy in our country are very strong. He said that legislature, executive and the judiciary have been properly designed by the makers of Constitution to run democracy smoothly. CM was addressing members and other officials of Jharkhand Assembly at Project Building in Ranchi during a daylong training programme of ‘legislative Procedure’ on Wednesday.

Das said that the rules have properly been framed for their functioning and everyone should be made aware of it. Every Government is responsible to the legislature. “One can expect a good Government and organisation, only when the people are educated and properly trained,” the CM said.

He further added that there should be no a gap between the legislative and executive and one should be fully aware of the rules and laws related to it, then only departmental works will be accomplished correctly.

“This is the responsibility of the members of executive not to show any such attitude which hurts the spirit of legislature. One should put his stand decently in the House and media should also give prominence to the words of those members who maintain decency and speak decently in the House,” the CM added. Organising such training programmes help us to remove the errors which has emerged in the past, said Das.

Das also said that even after 67 years of Independence, people in the villages still lack basic amenities. The dignity of the Assembly will be enhanced only when our hearts become one for the protection of the poor of the villages to fulfill their aspirations. For the development of villages, the villagers themselves are making schemes under 'Yojna banao abhiyaan'. This is our responsibility to help them in making policies. The CM also emphasized on the use of IT in the legislative business and said that government will try effectively to fulfill the ideas related to the public interest.
