In an attempt to promote cleanliness on the premises of puja pandals, the Ranchi Municipal Corporation (RMC) will organise ‘Swaach Pandal’ competition. Focusing on four major aspects which include availability of dustbins in sufficient numbers on the premises of each puja pandal, segregation of solid waste material, deputation of special squads for maintaining cleanliness on spot and innovative measures adopted by each puja pandal committee for the promotion of sanitation and hygiene among the public, the competition will be started from October 12. A special committee has been constituted under the supervision of City Manager – SBM Cell, Sandeep Kumar on October 8 to monitor ‘Swacch Pandal’ competition.
