All the board members during the meet unanimously selected Ajit Kumar as the head of the Smart City committee formed to monitor the work of the ambitious Smart city project from among them.

During the board meeting, consent was given on the documentary film being made on Smart City concept based on Ranchi. “The board has approved the concept of documentary film that will be shot on the concept of Smart city. Soon the tender will be floated for it and accordingly work will be assigned to the production house. Around six ward councilors are going to Hyderabad to attend a seminar on AMRUT Yojana and Smart city as well,” said Mayor Asha lakra.

Besides, ward councilors present in the meeting raised issues like spreading the pipelines in their respective areas, sanitation and disposal of waste. Notably, the meeting was attended by few ward councilors only as maximum ward councilors boycotted the board meeting on different grounds. Mayor termed the whole act as undisciplined approach to mark protest sidelining the public wellbeing.

“All those ward councilors who attended the meeting, they are the one who are serving their respective wards in true sense and are concerned about the welfare of people. Rest everyone is playing dirty politics here and has nothing to do with the public welfare. They are not working in public interest either,” added lakra.
