Daltonganj railway station superintendent AK Tiwary has written a memorandum to inspector of Railway Protection Force (RPF) to deploy its forces at traffic railway crossing gate near Kutchehry. The demand has come since a high speed auto rickshaw on Wednesday crashed to the crossing damaging it partially.
According to Tiwari It took hours to repair the gate boom.
Giving details he said that the damaged railway crossing gate affected the automated signal system which cannot be operated manually. "Railway Protection Force is required here from 8 in the morning to 6 in the evening as here during this period of time the traffic volume at is tremendous. People create nuisance at railway level crossings every day," he added.
