The daughter-in-law and a grand-son of a senior RJD leader, Gyanchand Pandey, were hurt in an “accidental” shot from a rifle of the family, in Daltonganj. The officer-in-charge of the Daltonganj police station, M Thakur confirmed the incident. The two are Abhinav (grand-son) and Nutan Pandey (daughter-in-law) of the RJD leader. Quoting the family, the officer said the rifle of the family was kept safe in an almirah from where this afternoon something was being drawn in which the rifle went off injuring the two. The police officer said the two were shifted to the Government Sadar Hospital from where they have been referred by doctor to RIMS Ranchi. The injuries were not serious but require proper and adequate medical attention, said doctors. However, unconfirmed reports also suggested some criminal intention behind the the firing. It is being said that some miscreants shot at the duo at their home. No FIR had been lodged in his regard as of now.
