Right to reject was JP's demand: Yashwant

RR Srivastava

It was late loknayak Jaiprakash Narayan who had first talked about right to reject. JP has demanded to make a law to give the voters of independent India the right to reject the candidates willing to represent his or her constituency in the assemblies or parliament. His demand was not fulfilled even by the Janta Party Government but now the Supreme Court of India has fulfilled his demand through its verdict. It was stated by senior BJP leader cum MP Yashwant Sinha at Atal Bhawan on Friday 11th of October.

At Atal Bhawan the BJP leaders and workers today paid their homage to the great freedom fighter and leader of ‘Sampurna Kranti Movement’ loknayak Jaiprakash Narayan on his birth centenary. Senior leaders of Hazaribagh BJP and party workers paid their homage to JP by garlanding and offering flowers to his portrait.

Recalling JP’s life history and important sayings, Sinha said that in recent internal and external scenario of the country, have become more relevant. Our new generation and even those who had worked with him have forgotten him which is like a sin on our part, Yashwant added.

Talking about the foresightedness and strong decision taking capacities of loknayak Jaiprakash Narayan he said that India needs a JP once again to deal with the neighbors like China, Pakistan and Bangladesh. Sinha said that once again China has issued staple visas to our two players belonging to Arunachal Pradesh and the government of India is keeping mum on this issue.

District BJP president Tunnu Gope presided the program while Anil Kumar Mishra anchored it. On this occasion Prof. BP Rukhaiyar, Dr. Surendra Sinha, Ashok Yadav, Bhanumati Paswan, Anjali Kumari, Anil Kumar Sinha, Mala Tirkey, Wilson Niranjan, Himanshu Kumar, Ashish Soni and others were present.
