Residents of Dhanbad housing colony have levelled discrimination by Housing board authorities as majority of big encroaches are not being touched by board during fresh eviction drive and those poor are being targeted.
The residents said that notice has been served even though we have been residing for five decades on land in question and also have papers issued by district administration but those too marked as encroachment .
The residents opposed the magistrate and housing board authorities showing land rent receipt and other documents while they reached to get the land in question vacated.
It's worth mentioning that housing board authorities are on election drive citing the High Court directive for the second time after a gap of over four months.
People said , big encroaches who have built up commercial property on residential land are unfortunately not the target of board authorities pinpointing several such buildings that have come up allegedly in connivance with the board authorities.
Even some persons have encroached his land on board for construction of residence building, some have encroached land by installing generator sets on encroached land and some have constructed car garages but are enjoying it, alleged those who face eviction.
CO Prashant Layak who has been deputed as magistrate said, we are just executive high court directive.
