Representatives of NSUI, Youth Congress and Empower Jharkhand met with Mayor Asha lakra on Wednesday, demanding better cleanliness measures to check the spread of dengue. The delegation submitted a five-point memorandum to the Mayor demanding that the swift steps to be taken to put a stop to the breeding of mosquitoes.
The list of demands included that insecticides should be spread and drains should be cleared around all residential areas and vegetable markets, anti-mosquito spray should be sprayed in all wards, awareness and sensitisation programme regarding malaria and dengue should be conducted, water logging should be checked and fogging should be done daily across the city.
