On the occasion of Republic Day this year grand celebrations were organized by Bokaro Steel Plant at CISF Parade Ground. The Director-in-Charge of BSL, Amarendu Prakash was the chief guest at the function. Executive Director and Chief General Manager of BSL, Deputy Inspector General (CISF) Saugata Rai, other senior officers of BSL and CISF and other dignitaries were present in the function. DIC Prakash hoisted the national flag at the parade ground and inspected the parade and took the salute. The CISF and BSL security department personnel participated in the parade. In his address, DIC Prakash wished everyone a Happy Republic Day and highlighted the achievements and future plans of BSL, Jharkhand Group of Mines and Collieries Group. Discussing the contribution of each section of the society in the progress of BSL, he wished for the bright future of Bokaro Steel through collective efforts. He also discussed the efforts being made for roads, maintenance of houses, drainage system and better lighting this year in BSL Township.
During the Republic Day celebrations, the Director-in-Charge also awarded 63 personnel of CISF, BSL's Security Department and Fire Services Department for their excellent service. The team was honored with the Dr BR Ambedkar Award. An attractive presentation by the Dog Squad of CISF was also presented at the function and was appreciated by all. At the end mementoes were given to the parade commander and the performing teams. Apart from the main program of Republic Day, DIC Prakash and senior officers also paid their respects at the Martyrs Memorial in CISF Parade Ground Complex.
