Tata Steel dedicated the newly renovated Paediatric Ward at Tata Main Hospital to the people of Jamshedpur. Ruchi Narendran and R Ravi Prasad, president of Tata Workers’ Union, inaugurated the new facility on Tuesday. They were welcomed by lt Gen (Retd) Dr G Ramdas, general manager, Medical Services.
Post inauguration, Narendran and R Ravi Prasad visited the Paediatric ward accompanied by Dr Asit Mishra and Dr Sarala Kannan of Paediatric department of Medical Division.
Central Oxygen and suction facilities have been made available for each bed inorder to reduce the need to shift any child patient to Treatment Room in serious cases or in any emergency. The parallel arrangement of the renovated ward with new fowler beds, would help in better patient monitoring and management. The installed curtains would provide privacy for lactating mothers and also facilitate isolation of patients to minimise spreading of infection.
The renovated SIl (Seriously Ill listed) room and the adjacent nursing station were also seen and appreciated.
