Chief Secretary RS Sharma on Tuesday asked the Excise department to fill vacant positions in the department and remove glitches in computerization of permits. CS was conducting meeting of Excise department.
Sharma directed the officials of the department to improve taxation system and also reviewed the works done by officials of the department.
The meeting was participated by Secretary of Excise department R P Singh.
In an another review meeting Sharma lay emphasis on maintaining standard of courses run by National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIElIT) and at same time stressed on professional courses for students and skill enhancement of students.
“This National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology is an institution under Ministry of Communications & IT and is instrumental in quality education and training in IT,” said Sharma.
The meeting was participated by Principal Secretary IT NN Sinha and Principal Secretary of Revenue, JB Tubid.
