The lawaris Mayyiat committee on Monday buried the body of Tarique Ansari, one of the IM suspects from Sithio village, in Patna after the family refused to take it but granted permission to the Patna police hand over the body to the committee.

He was allegedly serious injured and got killed while putting the battery into the bomb at the Patna Railway station ahead of the BJP’s Hunkar Rally on October 27, Earlier, the family of Tarique had refused to receive Tarique’s body saying they had nothing to do with the body as he has done a shameless activity against the country.

The body had been kept with Patna police under tight security as the family members had refused to receive the body after he succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday night at a hospital in Patna. The family on Mondayasked for the photo proof of Tarique from Ranchi police after which they gave permission to bury the body.

“The family had come to us asking for photo proof of the body. They asked the committee to bury the body, after they asked for it from the police,” said SSP Saket Kumar Singh.

Tarique, who is one among five sons of a retired HEC employee, was to do painting works for a living after passing matriculation from Azad High School. They were informed by the police on Friday morning through a notice informing the death of Tarique.
