According to the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between Food Secretary Vinay Kumar Chaubey and Federation of Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FJCCI) president Pawan Sharma, ‘Arhar dal’ to the retailers will be made available at the rate of `140 per kg while the retailers will sell it further to the customers at the rate of `145 per kg.
The MoU was signed after a discussion over the rising prices of arhar dal due to non availability of adequate stocks took place between the two.
Some of the other features of the MoU are:
lProper stock limit will be maintained by the traders.
lFederation will ensure that the points mentioned in the MoU are followed throughout the State.
lIn case of any confusion, the traders may contact the specified persons mentioned in the MoU.
lIn order to ensure smooth availability of Arhar dal in the State a review meeting will again be held after a fortnight.
