Even after nine days of rape and subsequent murder of a minority school girl in Nawadih block of Bokaro district, the police have failed to get any breakthrough.
The image of Bokaro police in the much talked about Rijwana of, a school girl of Nawadih block, murder case have received a blow with police adopting an ostrich like posture in one of the most sensational rape and murder case.
Even though a week has passed after the rape and murder of Rijwana a student of Kailas Smarak High School, Upparghat,the role of police in this case so far has come under cloud.
Even after formal filing of case in the police record ,the investigating agency has hardly made any effort to arrest the culprit. Sources informed that results of rape and murder case in Nawadih is likely to be zero.
As political persons including Dumari MlA, Jagarnath Mahto, RJD leader Tarkeshwar Mahto, principal of the school Ganesh Mahto ,AJSU leaders Tikat Mahto ,Raj Kumar Marandi and hundred school students took out the procession here on Saturday and also demanded immediate arrest the culprits.
The case was of a 14 year old Rijwana, resident of Narayanpur village of Nawadih under the same police station.
On November 23, 2013 she had gone outside her house to relieve herself at midnight and went missing since same night .It was only after 24 hours,her body had been recovered in semi –nude state from behind a madarsa in Nawadih. The police also found strangulation marks on the neck of the deceased indicating that she was raped before being killed.
