Ranchi Police on Wednesday nabbed four PlFI members, including Area Commander of Jonha region, Angara, Silli, Bundu and Tamar DevSingh Munda, while they were carrying on a meeting in jungles behind Krishna Dhaba in Jonha of Angara.

Calling it a major success of Police in recent days, SSP Kuldeep Dwivedi said that those arrested were planning something ‘big’ at the time police arrested them, while others fled to disappear in jungles. Three pistols with two of 9mm and one of 7.65 mm, 2 local made firearms of 0.315 bore, 4 bullets, 3 mobile phones and two motorcycles have also been recovered from them. Search operations to nab them were on, said the SSP.

“A team led by ASP (Operations) Harshpal Singh raided the area after we got a tip off about the meeting. They were some 9-10 members. We were able to catch four of them, while rest 5-6 fled away. Other than Devsingh, Rohit Kumar Verma, Raj Roshan Pintu and Rajesh Ram Tirki have been arrested. Though age not yet confirmed, all of them are in their mid 20s,” said Dwivedi.

He added that Devsingh was released from Jail on Saturday last week itself, after furnishing a year’s confinement in a case. “The moment he got out of the jail, he is assumed of being approached by one of the top leaders of PlFI Rajesh Gope. Devsingh was assigned to collect levi and to expend the organization in nearby areas. The four are suspected to work on that only at the time they were arrested,” said SSP.

Among those arrested, Devsingh has four cases registered against him while Rohit Verma and Raj Roshan Pintu have one case each registered against them. Police said that history sheet of Rajesh Ram Tirki is being verified.
