Ranchi Deputy Commissioner Vinay Kumar Choubey today chaired a review meeting to know the status of Public Distribution System, Old Age Pension, MGNREGA and Indira Awaas Yojna in the District.
While reviewing progress of PDS scheme underway in Khalari, Burhmu, Itki, and Mandar blocks, Choubey instructed officials to expedite implementation of Aadhaar based PDS system and complete collection of Aadhaar cards. The Ranchi DC also instructed officials to ensure submission of check list of Nagri, lapung, Ratu, Rahe and Bundu by May 26 while few blocks have been asked to submit checklist by May 31.
The Ranchi DC instructed block officials to verify the list of beneficiaries of Old Age Pension scheme to remove names of missing persons and duplicate or fake beneficiary. Notably, all blocks have been asked to link 800 to 1000 persons with State Social Security Scheme.The Electronic Fund Management System (EFMS) that gained notoriety for glitches was reviewed to ascertain supply of building materials. All blocks officials have been asked to submit action plan for MNREGA for 2014-15.
The meeting was participated by DDC Ranchi, ADM Ranchi, Director MNREGA, SDO Ranchi (Sadar), District Supply Officers, BDOs and Circle Officers of all blocks.
