Rai, Munda to lead BJP during lS polls

Jharkhand in-charge of Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP), Vinod Pandey on Sunday tried to dispel confusion over the question of leadership under which the party will contest upcoming lok Sabha elections in the State. The Jharkhand in-charge who is on tour to the State sounded optimistic about party’s win on all parliamentary seats in the State.

“leadership is not an issue in Jharkhand. The party will contest election in the leadership of State president Ravindra Kumar Rai and Arjun Munda,” said Pandey.

Pandey is on a tour to Jharkhand to hold meetings with party workers at all levels-district and state- to assess preparations for lok Sabha elections and gauge response to campaigns- Iron collection and ‘Ek Note Kamal Pe Vote’.

“Party received overwhelming response for the iron collection campaign. It seems that people have taken pledge to get rid of this government and make Narendra Modi prime minister of India,” continued Pandey.

The state in-charge of BJP derided the Hemant Soren government over friction among the coalition partners and scoffed at continuance of Minister Chandrashekhar Dubey and Chief Minister (CM) despite growing wedge between the two.

“Dubey dubbed Soren as the most corrupt CM. If Dubey is correct then CM must step down or else take action against the minister,” maintained Pandey adding “However both are continuing.”

Interestingly, the State in-charge did not express the party’s aversion to brace bureaucrats in the party fold. Recently, a retired IAS officer joined the party while a senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officer took voluntary retirement and is cajoling the party leadership with pro-BJP campaigns.

“No political party can close their doors for IAS or IPS officers,” pointed out Pandey who simultaneously brushed aside the question of giving tickets to those not a member of the party irrespective of the amount of campaigning done for the party.
