Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Thursday addressed an election rally at Rajmahal for Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) candidate, Kitabuddin Sheikh, for Jharkhand State Assembly elections. He fiercely attacked the Modi Government and described demonetisation, GST, Land Acquisition Bill as a means of looting the poor.

Comparing Chhattisgarh to Jharkhand, Gandhi said that the formation of the coalition Government consist of JMM, Indian National Congress (INC) and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) will make Jharkhand as rich as Chhattisgarh.

Even during another election rally at Mahagama in Godda, Rahul Gandhi attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, raised the issue of demonetisation and said that the Government waived tax of 10 industrialists of the Country. “There is no water in the 21st century and Modi talks about the moon and the rocket. Water, forest land is everything here but the people do not have drinking water,” he added.

Gandhi said that the debt of farmers will be waived off if the coalition government is formed. “We will remove the Government of rich and form the Government of poor,” he added. Gandhi made many allegations against the Central Government “I am not Narendra Modi. My job is not telling lie. Modi is the generator of corruption. Narendra Modi means corruption,” he added.

The INC star campaigner said that once the elections are over, people will again be hit by inflation. “Onion will be Rs 500 per kg. There is a preparation to increase tax on all items,” he added.

Gandhi said, “The farmers here are unhappy, the workers are unhappy, the shopkeeper and unemployed youths are also unhappy but the industrialists are happy. 15-20 industrialists are happy because 24 hours Modi gives them money,” he added.

INC former president referred to demonetisation and said through this, Modi gave money to industrialists by snatching money from the pockets of the poor.

“If the Government once stops giving money to the rich, industrialists and start giving money to the poor and farmers then the economy of the country will stand up. But Narendra Modi wants a scared Hindustan. He wants the Government to remain divided by dividing one State with another. Your wealth is Jharkhand, Jharkhand is not a poor State, the people here are poor, the farmer is poor, the youth is poor, money will start coming into your hands after the coalition Government is formed. When you start buying goods, Jharkhand will also become rich like Chhattisgarh,” said Gandhi. Addressing the rally at Rajmahal for the party candidate, JMM Executive president Hemant Soren said that the State Government of BJP and AJSU Party is strange as they remain in the Government but they are fighting with each other. Cautioning people from AJSU Party, Soren said that people should cast their vote with much deliberation, if they given vote to other party then it will shift directly to BJP.

The Congress rally was also attended by State Congress in-charge RPN Singh, State Congress chief Rameshwar Oroan and former Union Minister, Subodh Kant Sahay.
