Health, Food Supply and Disaster Management Minister Dr. Irfan Ansari today said that the process of setting up of six new medical colleges in Jharkhand has begun. Dr Ansari was speaking with Congress National General Secretary K.C. Venugopal in New Delhi on Saturday.

During the meeting, Dr. Ansari apprised Venugopal of the achievements of the Health Department of Jharkhand. He said that apart from six new medical colleges, construction of 'Medico City' will start soon at a cost of Rs 4000 crore.

He also informed Venugopal that the dream of the much-awaited RIMS-2 in Ranchi will come true soon. It is planned to be inaugurated by Sonia Gandhi and Dishom Guru Shibu Soren.

Dr Ansari said that the Pasmanda minority community is still a victim of serious neglect, and neither the governments nor the political parties have paid attention to their problems. This is the reason why this class has gradually distanced itself from the Congress. He urged that now it is necessary to unite this community and reconnect it with the party. Venugopal agreed to this and assured that after the Parliament session, he would come to Ranchi and participate in the proposed Pasmanda, Weavers and Minorities Maha Sammelan.

The current status of the Jharkhand Congress organization, organizational strength and government plans were also discussed in the meeting.

Venugopal praised the work of Dr. Ansari and said that his dedication, energy and ground connection are valuable for the Congress.

He also inquired about the activities of other Congress ministers of the Jharkhand government, on which Dr. Ansari said that all the ministers are active, are constantly communicating with the public and the workers have deep energy about the organization and the government.

Dr. Ansari said that the Congress party is moving forward with unity and enthusiasm in Jharkhand under the leadership of in-charge K. Raju and co-in-charge Bela Prasad. He expressed confidence that the organization and the government together will take Jharkhand to new heights of development and Congress will once again become the first choice of the people of the state.
