Chief Minister Raghubar Das assured the House that none of those responsible would be spared in Digdarshan and Intejar Ali cases. “A CID probe into the Intejar Ali case revealed his innocence and action has been taken against those responsible for framing him wrongly. The probe is still on to see involvement of any other official. Similarly, in the fake surrender case involving tribal youths we are conducting investigation. I can assure you that none of responsible can escape,” said the CM.
The response came to a question raised by JVM’s Pradeep Yadav who alleged that the Government act so far has been to hoodwink the real culprits behind the entire saga.
“514 innocent tribals were brought to surrender and kept at Birsa Munda jail under CoBRA. Is it possible that the top brass of the police was unaware of itIJ You also took back the request for a CBI probe just to save top police officials involved. The Government should form an SIT if it is serious to investigate both the matters fabricating innocent persons,” said Yadav.
Whereas Minister Neelkant Singh Munda maintained that not the Government but the CBI refused to take up the case citing some reasons and the Government is investigating the case on its own. “The matter is also pending with the High Court. Action against some persons has been taken as well. If you have any other information you can share with the probe team,” said Munda.
