Hazaribagh DC Ravishankar Shukla and SP Anup Birthare conducted a joint Press briefing and informed about the preparations of district administration for peaceful conduct of this year Ramnavmi here on Monday. Both SP and DC claimed that this year they have made special arrangements regarding this important festival of Hazaribagh.
DC Ravishankar Shukla said that we have identified sensitive and super sensitive spots of the town and this time the state magistrates will wear a special jacket provided by district administration for their identification. 150 such jackets have been distributed. We had also arranged light sticks for the magistrates and police officials who will show green light to move ahead. When they will show red light then the procession will have to stay and wait for clearance of the route.
Shukla also informed that for peaceful and harmonious Ramnavmi the excise department is also making raids daily to check the flow of illicit liquor in the town during the festival. Till date 85 cases have been registered and 22 persons have been arrested. He also informed that this time the district administration has provided identity cards to about 1000 peace committee members.Talking about the arrangements of basic facilities for the devotees DC said that arrangements have been made for uninterrupted electricity supply, for drinking water more than 100 water tanks will be available and temporary toilets will be erected in entire route length.
SP Anup Birthare said that the district has already got extra forces for the festival and flag march of forces is going on in different areas since last few days. It will go on further too. This time we have arranged lens eye to keep close look on the mob. 80 CCTV cameras have been installed in entire procession route which will record every activity going on in the route area. This recording will help us in identifying and punishing those who will try to disturb the peace or to break the law.Both DC and SP said that the entire district administration is keeping eye on the preparations and our officials are continuously attending the meetings of peace committees of block and panchayat levels.
