Police to take action against two communities for disturbing peace

PNS

Playing a neutral card police have started to pursue legal course of actions against two communities here over the communal disturbances occurred  at Satbarwa and Haidernagar in Palamu.

No Tazia was burnt at Satbarwa, claimed SP Palamu Indrajeet Mahatha. He said police have reports that a wooden chowki on which Tazia is placed was burnt down at Satbarwa. Police are investigating the matter and will on its own lodge a criminal case in this regard, he added.

The burning of chowki by miscreants would be fairly and thoroughly investigated by the police assured SP. Mahatha said this Tazia in question is reportedly gone missing as said by the minority community.

Mahatha said police have taken into cognizance the ahead of time Muharram procession taking out in the route there at Haidernagar. SP said the minority community should have followed the time allotted to them for this procession but this community brought out its procession on the route ahead of the fixed time.

Again at Haidernagar police are looking for members of the majority community who in a blatant violation of all norms heaped abuses on the minority community on the public address system. Here too the majority community people played obscene song hurting the sentiments of the minority community reiterated SP Palamu.

At Satbarwa seven members of the minority community face criminal charges of hurting a couple of members of the majority community with sword. SP said this FIR against the 7 has been lodged at Satbarwa police station.

Again an objectionable song was played by the majority community for 30 seconds at Satbarwa which led to the eruptions of intense communal feeling among the members of the minority community and here too in this case police have taken serious view of this playing of objectionable song by the majority community.  SP said majority community members at Dhawadeeh village too played unpleasant and improper role for communal harmony which the Satbarwa police have taken note of and a legal recourse will be applied here.
