The high profile abduction case under Chutia Police Station rocked the State Capital after the abductors allegedly demanded a ransom of Rs 20 lakh in lieu of releasing the three youths — Shivam Singh, Gaurav Singh and Shanky Singh, who became traceless on Tuesday. Though intensive search operation has been launched in the area, Police are still traceless to know the whereabouts of the kids.

“We are working on it and several raids are being conducted to trace them out,” said SP Rural Rajkumar lakra under whom a special investigation team had been formed by SSP Kuldeep Dwivedi on Wednesday.

All aspects wwere being kept into consideration to deal with the case, he added.

BJP leader Madan Singh, father of Shivam said that they had said that they were going to Dasham Falls for fun on Tuesday but turned towards Ring Road and did not return after that.

“Yesterday, someone called from my son’s mobile phone and said that they were in his custody and were said to be safe, following which no phone call has been made so far,” said the father. He however, denied to have received any ransom call in this regard.

Sources, however, confirmed that the ransom of Rs 20 crore has been demanded by the abductors who have also warned that they will kill the three if ransom money was not paid to them.
