As part of the community policing programme, the Garhwa police distributed 500 dhotis and 500 saris among the villagers of Satbahini under Kandi police station, on Sunday. Police also served lunch among the villagers.
Speaking on the occasion, Garhwa SP Sudhir Kumar Jha said that this area could be made Maoists free with the cooperation of peoples. “Police would be available 24 hours for you. In any necessity, you inform to the police,” said the SP, and appealed to the villagers to inform about the extremists. He also said that police will take action to destroy illegal wine distillery and sought help from the society.
