Palamu police have nabbed an extortionist identified as Akash Rai alias Monu said SP Palamu Indrajeet Mahatha.
Giving details the SP said Monu hailed from Daltonganj town but has his restaurant in Ranchi and was nobbed on a tip off at lalpur chowk in Ranchi.
Monu was remanded in judicial custody.
Monu is said to be a close confidant of notorious gangster Sujit Sinha who is lodged in Central jail Hazaribag.
He had given an extortion call to a trader here for Rs 20 lakhs to be paid in five installments.
Police are on the look out of others too identified as Rajnish, Vivek, Hari Tiwari who work at the beck and call of the gangster Sujit Sinha.
