An illegal countrymade liquor manufacturing unit operating from a private house at Orwatard village in Giridih district was busted here on Tuesday morning.However, no one was arrested in this connection,said DySP Saria Binod Mahto.
An inquiry into the matter was ordered . The liquor unit was being operated from one of the old house,situated at Orwatard village in Saria police station area, police said.
Police are now conducting raids to trace the person, who was involve in the illegal trade. During questioning of the nearby villagers, it came to light that the illegal liquor unit was being run by some local youths, but their Identity could not be released, said Officer-in Charge Bikash Paswan.
“Acting on an information, police conducted the raids at the primeses of a private house at Orwatard village under limits of Saria police station on Tuesday morning at 4 am". After seeing the police Someone who were present in the house ,managed to flee from the spot, police recovered huge amount of liquor and also seized a machine from the house,added Paswan.
Dy SP Binod Mahto said, “Raid was conducted early this morning and also some liquor bottles were recovered from the washroom of the house.As per preliminary investigation, spurious liquor from house of Orwatard village was supplied in different wine shop and neighbouring markets.
