In a major breakthrough Ranchi Police arrested Danish Rizwan, the main accused in Sushma Baraik shoot out case.
Addressing a press meet on Saturday Ranchi SSP, Kaushal Kishor said that Baraik was shot at the behest of Rizwan. Kaushal constituted an SIT which has arrested the main accused of this shootout, Rizwan, Farhan and Mudassir. “Rizwan is the National Spokesperson of the HAM party. Nine cases are registered against him in Bihar's Arrah and Patna, three cases registered against Farhan in UP. The police team that arrested them included Hatia DSP Raja Mitra, Inspector Sanjay Kumar Yadav, Rohit Kumar and others,” he added.
“During interrogation, shooter Farhan told that he has been an active member of Salim-Shohrab-Rustom gang for many years. He has executed many serious incidents in Lucknow. In the year 2020, his sister Amreen was married to Rizwan, a resident of Arrah, Bihar. Two-three months ago, his sister Amreen and Brother-In-Law, Rizwan had come to his house in Lucknow where Danish told that Baraik alias Padma Badaik, a woman living in Ranchi, who has filed cases of sexual exploitation and rape against many people including IPS officer, PS Natarajan of Jharkhand. She is also trying to file a case against me for sexual harassment. A petition has also been filed in the Jharkhand High Court in this regard. It is being alleged by her that is the father of her son,” said Kaushal.
The SSP said that Farhan told during interrogation that Danish offered money to get Sushma murdered. “He told to arrange for weapons and vehicles, and he agreed for this work. Danish introduced him to his friend Mudassir, resident of Bazarkhala and Guddu alias Umar, resident of Barud Khana Chikmandi, Lucknow. There we made a plan to kill Sushma. A few days later, Danish called him to Patna, where he gave him two pistols and 12 cartridges along with about Rs 30 thousand. Baraik's photo was provided,” he added.
Kaushal further said that Farhan told the police that he came to Lucknow with a pistol and 12 cartridges then he came to Ranchi on November 22, 2022 with Guddu alias Umar. He gave the address of Baraik's house near Plaza Chowk and the house near Harmu Chowk. After following, both came back to Lucknow. Then after a few days Guddu was given Rs 12 thousand to arrange a motorcycle. Guddu has stolen a motorcycle. Guddu came to Ranchi from Lucknow by putting a fake number on him. According to Farhan, he along with Mudassir reached Ranchi by bus on December 5. No one could trace us after the incident, so all three of us had switched off our mobiles and came back to Lucknow. From December 5 to December 12, we tried several times to kill Sushma, but could not succeed. On December 12, Danish said that on December 13, Sushma was going to the High Court in connection with a case. After getting the information, we shot Sushma and fled,” he added.
