In a shocking turn of events, plywood trader Ravi Agarwal commissioned the cold-blooded killing of his 39-year-old wife Jyoti Agarwal, amidst a backdrop of escalating marital discord. Allegedly, the couple's relationship had soured over time, marred by incessant bickering and unresolved conflicts.

The city has been rattled by the revelation that Ravi Agarwal, a well-known plywood merchant, orchestrated the heinous murder of his wife, Jyoti Agarwal. The incident, which sent shockwaves through the steel city and the neighboring Seraikela-Kharsawan district, unfolded merely 48 hours ago, leaving the community reeling with disbelief.

Police have apprehended Ravi Agarwal along with three other individuals involved in the gruesome crime. The arrested culprits have been identified as Pankaj Sahni, Mukesh Mishra, and Rohit Kumar, all residents of the Sidhgora locality.

During a press conference held in Adityapur, Seraikela-Kharsawan SP, Manish Toppo, divulged critical details surrounding the case. Toppo disclosed that Ravi Agarwal had orchestrated the murder by offering a staggering contract worth Rs 16 lakhs, with an initial payment of Rs three lakhs already disbursed.

Further elucidating the sequence of events, SP Toppo revealed that the fatal incident transpired on the night of March 29. Ravi Agarwal, accompanied by his family, purportedly dined at a restaurant in Bhilaiapadi before embarking on their journey home. Near 10th Mile Stone, the assailants staged an ambush, fatally shooting Jyoti Agarwal in the head before fleeing the scene.

Disturbingly, investigations uncovered a previous attempt on Jyoti Agarwal's life approximately six months prior, allegedly orchestrated by Ravi Agarwal himself. However, failing in his initial endeavor, Ravi resorted to engaging contract killers to execute his sinister plan.

In a startling revelation, SP Toppo disclosed that Ravi Agarwal had concocted a false extortion claim in February, purporting to deflect suspicion away from himself in the event of his wife's murder. This deceitful ploy aimed to mislead authorities by fabricating an extortion narrative, thereby diverting attention from his culpability.

Authorities are currently in pursuit of the remaining perpetrators involved in the heinous crime, with efforts underway to bring them to justice.

The tragic demise of Jyoti Agarwal serves as a chilling reminder of the depths of human depravity, casting a somber shadow over the once serene streets of Jamshedpur. As the community grapples with the aftermath of this appalling revelation, questions linger about the sanctity of trust and the darkness that can reside within the confines of domesticity.
