Railways Minister DV Sadananda Gowda on Thursday said that people of Jharkhand are looking for a change after the Assembly elections, alleging that law and order as well as administration have collapsed in the State.

Gowda, while addressing the media at the State BJP headquarters here further said that Modi’s work during his four-month tenure has been widely acknowledged in and outside the country.

“looking at the action taken by the Modi government during the last four months people here must have decided to vote for the BJP and I am sure that the party is going to rule the State after the elections,” he said.

Counting the achievements of Modi Government at the Centre, Gowda said that his vision has been accepted widely across the country because of which we have been able to reach at the stage of forming a majority government in Maharashtra and Haryana where elections were held on Wednesday.

“The BJP is going to have its own government of majority both in Maharashtra and Haryana,” he said. “As similar problems are being faced by the people of Jharkhand also, I am getting feedback from the party workers that people here also are looking for a change,” added Gowda.

He further added that it happened for the first time in the history of India that a budget was presented without any political motivation by his government which also proved that service to the people is the priority of the Modi government and not the politics.

Gowda, during the meeting with Chief Minister Hemant Soren asked him to clear the bottlenecks in the field of land acquisition, forest clearance and cost sharing regarding the railway projects so that work could be expedited in the State.

Alleging the State Government for failing to maintain law and order in the State, Gowda also said that the ministers of the state government themselves have been charged with serious allegations due to which they are under the scanner of the investigating agencies. He also charged the state government of not appropriating the railway funds.

Earlier, the Union Minister arrived here on a two-day visit of Jharkhand during which he will also attend a workers conference at Chatra on Friday. On Thursday, Gowda had a review meeting with the Railway officials of South Eastern Railway in Ranchi.
